Steve Gordon: Welcome to Franchise Freedom. I am not your host. My name is Steve Gordon, but I am here to introduce you to your host. Your host for the Franchise Freedom Podcast is Giuseppe Grammatico. And Giuseppe has got over 13 years of experience in franchising. He is a franchisee. He’s actually a master franchisee, and he is a master franchisor. So he really has seen both sides of the franchising business. And more importantly, he’s helped over 1000 people make the decision about whether or not franchising is the right option for them and for their goals. And Giuseppe, I’m super excited about this podcast that you have. It’s weird to say it but welcome to your podcast. Giuseppe Grammatico: Thanks, Steve. I really appreciate it. Thank you very much. Steve: So, you know, I’ve had the benefit of working a little bit behind the scenes with you as you’ve gotten things, you know, organized for the podcast. And I know you’ve got a ton of stuff coming for folks who are going to tune in and subscribe and listen. Before we get to all of that, I’d really like to understand why you decided to create the show. What was the kind of motivation behind it?

The Idea Behind the Franchise Freedom Podcast

Giuseppe: That’s a great question. The motivation for the show was, you know, this is probably one of the biggest decisions that you’ll ever make in your life. One of the biggest investments next to purchasing a home. So when I purchased my first franchise over 13 years ago, there wasn’t a lot of information. Not a lot of resources online, whereas today, it’s actually the complete opposite. There seems to be too much information online. And in order to help individuals take a look at franchising, I want to just simplify the process. You know, what do you do with all this and formation, this free information that’s online, and just help them through the process, find out about them, and more importantly, find out if franchise ownership is the right fit for them. Steve: Yeah, I think that’s so important. I mean, as you said, there’s, you can almost drown in all of the information that’s out there on franchising or virtually any other topic. And having an expert who’s got the experience, got the background to really kind of sift through that and make sense of it, I think is just tremendous for people who are looking at potentially buying a franchise. So as we think about like, who the podcast is really designed for, you know, and listeners are maybe tuning into this trailer to decide if it’s for them, who are you really targeting with this podcast? Who are you trying to help? Giuseppe: We are targeting corporate executives. People that are looking to make the transition from a corporate executive to a first time business owner, first time franchise owner. We are also targeting the same executives that may want to keep their jobs and have a side business, a side income. So, you know, corporate executives are a great match and at the end of the day, anyone that’s looking into franchise ownership or to adding to their franchise investment portfolios. Steve: That’s fantastic. And you actually got into franchising coming out of a corporate job. Is that right? Can you tell us a little bit about your story there? Giuseppe: Yes. I had quite a few corporate jobs. Ironically, three big companies. Three of those companies went through major mergers where there were some downsizing and if there wasn’t downsizing there were pay cuts. So very unfortunate, but because of that created the opportunity for me to finally branch off and follow my dream of owning a business. Steve: Yeah, that’s awesome. I know so many people are just looking for that way to create freedom for themselves, where they can kind of control their own schedule, where they can start building their own wealth. Not, you know, building it for somebody else. And then certainly franchising is a great way to do that. So, tell us, Giuseppe, what can folks expect as they tune into the podcast? What do you have in store for us?

What Franchise Freedom Offers You

Giuseppe: What we’re looking to do is just inform everyone about franchising, about business ownership. We want to make the process overall much simpler than it currently is. We are a one stop shop for all franchise and business related information. So if you have thought about the idea of franchise ownership, but you felt it was too expensive, or, you know, you don’t have the right amount of experience for a particular industry, I urge people, listen to a few of the podcasts. We’ll definitely be able to, I call squash a lot of these myths out there as far as franchise ownership. And, you know, at the end of the day, we will educate you, you’ll learn a little bit about franchise ownership. And I think it’s a great resource for someone that’s thought about franchising. Steve: That’s awesome. I’m looking forward to everything that you’re gonna be publishing. I know I myself, I’m not by any means an expert in franchising to the level you are, and I know you’re going to be sharing a ton of great information. So folks, if you’ve got any interest at all in owning a franchise, whether in the near term or down the road and you want to learn a little bit more about how franchising works, what it’s like to own a franchise, if you want to hear from industry experts, both the franchisees who have, you know, purchased a franchise and built for themselves a successful business and hear from franchisors to really understand from their perspective, how their most successful franchisees are able to succeed, then you definitely want to tune into the podcast. You can subscribe here whether you’re listening on iTunes or Spotify or Google Play or any of the other platforms, you can subscribe there. You can also go to ggthefranchiseguide.com. ggthefranchiseguide.com and that is Giuseppe’s website. There you can sign up for email updates so you’ll never miss an episode and if you really want to go deeper, go to ggthefranchiseguide.com/video and Giuseppe has put together a 30 minute video that explains all of the ins and outs of owning a franchise and what that process looks like to go from, you know, wherever you are right now to actually, you know, being in that owners seat. So check that out at ggthefranchiseguide.com/video. Giuseppe, I’m excited for this. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to help you introduce the show and look forward to what’s to come. Giuseppe: Very excited as well. Thanks, Steve. I greatly appreciate it.
